We all know that dofollow blog commenting is a great way of getting backlinks pointing to your website, which in turn ultimately boosts your website's page rank and indeed improves your keyword ranking.

We all also know how difficult it can be to identify high pagerank dofollow blogs for blog commenting. It therefore stands to reason that once identified, you should take all necessary steps to ensure your blog commenting achieves result by your comments being approved.

If you search for dofollow links you can find search engines dedicated to dofollow blogs. That way you can search for your keyword and find blog posts you can comment on, which will link back to your site. By placing your keyword as your name you will end up with ideal anchor text.

Autoapprove links are found on some blogs. The blog comments are approved instantly and allow your URL and keyword to be entered. You may assume these would all be trash, but in fact there are some quality.edu and.gov, dofollow and high pr sites to be found. These links are fantastic if you want to see quick results.

I wouldn't waste much time working on this linking technique.

Google can see what you're up to and these links really don't help you out much anymore. Google can see the links coming from comment sections and those links are now pretty much useless these days.

Use the SEO Smart Links WP plugin and use it.

Everytime you create decent piece of content you are firing mulitple links to other posts on your blog, and Google DOES count those - BIG TIME.

I'd agree with some words of TZ, myself I've given up blog commenting for a while now, not because they that bad, but because I am following a better way myself now, instead of commenting in high PR blogs, I do create .edu blogs and inject my own links in the posts I add to these blogs, this way I've control over the outbound links and get valuable backlinks from other high & authenticated blogs/sites and it works like charm, yet, blogs commenting works but would require much work!

True. But if you can get a few High PR blog comments from pages with less OBLs - it is very useful for PR and SERP improvement.

i just took a quick look at the description for this plugin - this helps with the internal link structure as it seems (probably some kind of SILOing)....but where does this come in while we talk about external links to OUR site? I dont see the connection there...

He posted an updated link later in the thread but a bunch lead to dead pages and all the ones I looked at have been spammed to death. Some of the have over 8k links and the lowest I saw was 1800+

8k links! Wow.

This is why I'm always afraid to post comments linking back to my main sites on auto approve blogs. Chances are, most of these blogs are eventually going to get spammed to death. And a number of these sites are going to be shady at best.

I'll run small Scrapebox blasts on "buffer" sites from time to time. But never on my main sites.
