Youtube Trick (gets your video on 1st page of google) VIDEO UPDATED

I've been experimenting with a new way to get youtube videos ranked on page 1 of google.

It is so simple.

It has been right under my nose for so long andI didn't see it.

Only a few others are doing it that I can see

I made this 21 minute video describing the trick.

Just sent this video to my list but I thought I'd share it with the rest of the warrior forum as well.

UPDATE: a lot of people in this thread couldn't get the video to work because the file size was too large. I converted the video to a format that will play a lot easier, enjoy!

yea I made it way too long for a camtasia screencast. if you let it load for about 3 or 4 min, the video will show up along with the audio.

sorry about that guys I was in a rush. I can get a FLV out there Monday that will work a lot better

Thanks Chad, the audio starts immediately and the video finally loaded at around the 1:30 mark. BUT when I paused it to write this reply it would not start again. Hummm.....


***UPDATE*** Chad , while the video would not resume once I hit the pause button I did finally get to watch the whole thing. Great info and thanks!

the basics of what the video covers: how to get a link on the youtube blog pointing back to your youtube video. These links are powerful PR 5,6,7 links going back to your youtube video.

I tried a number of different ways and this video shows the best way to do it where it will actually work. Some of the blog posts won't publish your link so it is a waste of time, but some of them are not moderated at all and your link will appear instantly.

The video showed up after about a minute of loading, so you can just take it back to the beginning and get the whole thing in Audio and Video.

The video loaded just after a minute of audio and it played the video thereafter without any problems for me.

Is it playing the sound only? If it is only playing sound, wait about 1-2 minutes and the video will start playing as well.

It is pretty important to get your keyword in the username somehow. Even if it isn't the complete longtail keyword, you still get PART of the longtail keyword in that incoming link, which increases your chances of ranking for all the long tail keywords that have your "username keywords" in them. It also increases the general thematic relevancy of your link from the youtube blog.

For instance, if the youtube blog post that you are getting a link from is about sports, and you are linking to a chess video, a username with chess related keyword in it will help establish the thematic connection between the general sports blog post and the specific sport of chess. (this is an oversimplified explanation of topical theme vectoring)

NOTE: in your case, I'd choose a username like attorneyatlaw or something, so you have PART of the longtail phrase in the username.

Chad quick question. In my niche (weight loss) there are very few if any blogs that are actually about it. In that case can I just post comments wherever and still get results? Not spam but legitimate comments. Will it still help or the fact that its not themed hurt?

Chad, thanks for the tip, this is great!

I already have some videos uploaded in my old account so what I did was I created a new account with my user name as my keyword phrase then I went to my user account and edited my channel, under channel design > featured video I clicked Video URL and added the url of my video from my old account that I wanted featured. I assume this will work in the same way as the link to the featured video is do follow.

If you choose a blog post that has something to do with health concerns, it will still be close enough to your theme to be valuable.

Good question! It should only take 10 or 15 minutes per link. But even that doesn't answer the bottom line question. Obviously, once people get to your video they need to be convinced to take ACTION. That, in itself will control your bottom line. Do you have a real example of a video with a steady conversion rate? I could help you with the bottom line question with a concrete example.

Excellent, excellent post and vid.

I was actually looking into more options after i watched your video, keyword: YouTube downloaders, Video Titlers and converters

I am using a strategy right now to look for promising keywords on google insight.
Afterwards i look for a video on youtube related to subject, and i download it with either a software or any of those "youtube downloader sites".

I convert video to AVI, and then i brand it with my URL using Sony Vegas. (I wish there was some simple, free video titler/brander available)

Anyway, now the video has a BIG URL at the bottom, and i use TOR (which is a proxy thing to switch your IP to log in to YT and make a new account. (Maybe i am just paranoid, but i like to use different IP if i do multiple accounts)

I chose a name which has my keyword in it, i upload my "branded" video, i edit my channel, video title etc. to match the keyword.
Then i look for a matching blog where i can drop a comment.

All in all an EXCELLENT post and method - i enjoyed it...!!

probably dont need to use TOR to make multiple accounts, we've created literally hundreds of video accounts all from the same IP with no problems from any of the video sites, including youtube

a great place to find good keywords is market samurai. I swear by this software

you don't need a camera or anything to create awesome youtube videos.

if you have a PC, use microsoft movie maker (included with all xp installs), screenshots, photos, and music to create an awesome promo

Actually you bring up a good point! Commenting, rating, and adding your video to your favorites also seems to help with ranking (top ranked videos on google usually have a number of views, comments, and 5 star ratings)

actually the youtube blog doesn't allow "followed" links in usernames anymore. But here's another great free tip for increasing your youtube traffic:
