Use social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter) and since your site is local, look for keywords that are easy to rank with (I'm sure there will be a lot). You should also look for authority sites and leave a really good comment (use your real name not a keyword) - show that you know your stuff really well. |

I can suggest a great way to get traffic. Buy it. PPC is the most targeted and fastest ways to get traffic to your offer. I bring this up because I see you did not ask for free traffic. In the amount of time it takes you to write/submit articles, leave blog/forum posts, build web 2.0 properties, etc, you could have had tons of traffic to your site already....very targeted traffic. |

adwords is effective, but I wouldn't suggest that unless you have a lot of money available to put into this. Even then, I would suggest hiring someone to do SEO for you. Something that has worked well for me regarding traffic, is press releases. My recent press release is on 13,000 websites.

Hello! Bioinfosachin: you are on the way to success, mind you; it is not easy making money online, it realy requires lot and lots of trial and errors. You must submit relevant articles in a way that your readers should be looking for the nearest solutions through the link in your resourse box. And your articules submission should be aggresive and consistent to pull more followers attention to your contents/website. Though to do this is not an easy task but you must be patient and gradually increase your momentum. Good luck. |

Remember when driving traffic that it's not about driving as many people you can to your site, it's not about blasting the web with links and it's not about reaching 1 million hits per day (although that'd be nice!). It's about finding out where you target market hang out on the net then going there and putting your message in fron of them. You can do this by:
It's all about finding out where they hang out online and going there. Do your research then put yourself in front of them whether they're searching Google, asking Yahoo answers, reading blogs or chatting in forums. It's quite easy once you've got your research down. ~Russ |

try ranking a very dedicated blog to your targeted niche. By doing so you'll be providing info on the specific topic and give free help/advice.

Not sure of your exact intention for the site. (MFA, Affiliate marketing, etc.) If you are serious about your site, providing quality content, whether on your site or when you do article marketing, is the best long term seo strategy. Start visiting and networking (commenting) on related bloggers site. (again provide value when you comment) People will gain notice of your site overtime and links will start to build and SERP will improve. Unfortunately (or fortunately), there are no easy ways out in sustainable SEO. |

To get traffic, you have to understand your target audience. Where do they hang out? What do they do? What do they talk about? Then analyze yourself. What are you strengths? Weaknesses? What resource do you have more of - time or money? From there, you can make a concerted effort to get traffic. For example, if you have a little bit of money to spend, take a look at the sites that do well already in your niche. Use quantcast to analyze the demographics of the visitors, then setup a highly targeted Facebook PPC campaign around these same demographics. Or, if you don't have cash, then find out where these people hang out. Are there popular blogs you can comment on or forums you can hang out at? Are there sites that you can contribute to that you know they'll see/read? What mediums of info would they be into? Not all niches will end up on articles directories. Some might be prone to squidoo or hub pages. Others podcasts on tTunes. Others videos on youtube, dailymotion, or the like. Find out where your people hang out, then figure out a way to get in front of them. Or, if you're looking at primarily SEO (of course, as long as you have well-researched KWs), then take your content, and put a good syndication strategy into place that will not only put that content (say an article or blog post) in as many places as possible for your target audience to see, but to also build as many backlinks as possible back to your site in order to rank higher in google. |
