DO you buy feature listing or sponsored listing in directories relevant to your niche

i have seen some of the directories offering paid listing for some amount of money..

SO does anyone has buy this kind of listing and get benefits .I mean is it worth to buy this links from directories..?

I don't really see a point quite honestly unless you know they are getting substantial traffic and ranking high on the SEs

I've never paid for a listing in a directory, since most directories are just fluff to get backlinks, a lot of people don't read them unless it's one of the bigger directories. Ton's of other ways to gain traffic without paying.
