I was a bit confused as to how I should go about trying to rank for multiple keywords for my site. Should I be changing up the hyperlinks in forum posts, social bookmarks, or articles submitted to article directories to accomplish this? In other words, should I be changing up the hyperlinks to those specific keywords I want to rank for? |

If they are in the same niche, you can get another hyperlink. But if you replace an old link with a new one, the ranking for the old keyword will go down. Get new links instead, and if possible don't get multiple links from the same page. That would reduce the value of the links. | |

Hi There are a number of ways really. With any link building you want to vary the anchor text that your using for example you could use the following for different articles etc that have been submitted. *Keyword 1 *Keyword 2 *Keyword 3 You could then also create different landing pages to focus on different keywords ie *Learn about Keyword 1 *How can Keyword 2 benefit You *Where To Buy Keyword 3 I hope this answers your question |

Okay, one of my sites is what is considered a micro niche site. I am only promoting and reviewing one product. However, I have found that other keyword variations get more search results. For example, if the item I am promoting is a sanyo xp-123, I'd like to rank for "sanyo xp-123", "xp-123" and, "sanyo 123". So, I'd need to vary the hyperlinks pointing back to my website with these keywords correct? Like, one forum post will have the hyperlink "sanyo xp-123" and another would have "xp-123" and a social bookmark may have "sanyo 123". Will this help my site to rank for those keywords? |

What I would do is set up different pages for each keyword...Trying to rank for multiple keywords on the same page may confuse google and cause you not to rank well. Even though the keywords are closely related, you have to remember that google is a computer program and it reads what it sees So according to google those keywords are relevant but they're still considered different. So setup different pages for each keyword you want to rank for. Ex. I had a website targeting "How To Get Rid of Belly Fat" I ranked well for that keyword but I didn't rank well for "Get Rid of Belly Fat" And for your hyperlinks, you want to vary them also. If your keyword is "sanyo xp-123" don't have every link that linking back to your page as your main keyword. Use xp-123 and sanyo 123. Having the same anchor text from multiple pages will look suspicious to google. So vary them.. |

Hi Latrice, The most important thing about link building is to make it appear as natural as possible. And a site that is gaining links naturally will not just have one set anchor text link, but a variety of links that are all closely related. The search engines are smart, even if you don’t have a specific anchor text link, if your links and contently closely match other keywords, then you will rank for them. So changing up your anchor text every now and then will help you in the long run. |

Hello guys, I would like to ask something, for the multiply keywords like "sanyo xp-123", "xp-123" and, "sanyo 123" as it was mentioned at this thread, you have to do a post with those keywords into the same post? also have different pages for each keyword or just have them into the same post? also as mentioned "Ya create new backlinks with the anchor text being the keywords you want to target" does the anchor urls have to be the urls from that page category or the post and the description the keyword? since its been going to do seo for those keywords thanks guys |

If you want to secure top ranking for multiple keywords then you must change your anchor text. Create new backlink with different set of anchor text.

To rank multiple keywords for your website, you need setup the multiple anchor text for your website's destination URL. If you want to change your old anchor text, before changing this you need a check those keywords are not relevant to you. If change the keywords URL and anchor text it's down your ranking. Then follow your SEO link building strategy as you are doing. |
