I am trying to vary my anchor text as much as possible. I am wondering your strategies. Mine involve adding the raw domain for abotu 60%. So if my site is dogfood.com, I'd have dogfood.com. Sometimes I also just do the raw domain with NO hyperlinking. .. As far as keywords, sometimes I add an adjective in front of them, such as great dog food good dog food etc. etc. Is this wise? What are you guys doing? |

Yes, I vary my anchor text with the keywords I'm targeting and want to rank for. I don't go by any formula or percentage. Whatever makes sense when I'm adding links to an article or blog comment, etc.

I guess I could also use a keyword tool to find all the searches which contain dog food.. and then spin those as my anchor text

I do this: 70% main keywords 20% secondary keywords (split the 20% up evenly among your additional 2 or 3 keywords) 5% your url 5% "click here" hope that helps! | |

But do you ever sprinkle adjectives and stuff around your main keywords to make it look more natural?
