Default Market Samurai users, do you have problems lately?

For some time now, i get dashes for the most BLP column results in the SEO competition module.

They are supposed to have switched to majesticseo, but i don't think that's true.

What's your experience with it lately? Have you found a reliable way to find the backlinks to the pages fast?

What version of MS are you using? I believe it is up to version 86.19 or 20 now. I find I always have problems if my copy is too outdated.

Anyone else getting this? It was working fine earlier,

Same message for me. It started last night whilst I was working on my laptop and thought it might be something to do with slow WiFi. Unfortunately, tried again this morning on my PC and exactly the same message.

Been searching on internet for solution first (which is how I found your comment) but the only thing I can find is slow internet connection which I know does not apply to me.

It says that Google centres may be updating their data but unsure as to what a reasonable time frame may be for that. May have no option but to submit support ticket. Relieved to discover that it's not just me!!

Yup, exactly what happened to me. Started last night at about 10pm SA time (GMT+2) and hasn't worked since. Wonder if it's an issue with the version?

Replied on the other thread also TB but apparently this has been an ongoing problem since 19th Jan and MS are aware of it. Started with v 0.87.23 but I am also using 0.87.25 and have difficulties. Maybe it's just a coincidence that you and I noticed the problem at about the same time?

Anyway, let's hope they get to the bottom of it soon!

Ahhh! This is bugging me so much. I sent an email to Market Samurai (I'm sure they're getting a ton right now) about the Yahoo/Majestic SEO debacle. Does anyone know if Majestic SEO and Market Samurai will be working together to fix the problem? I really don't want to pay for another SEO service! I just want my old MS back!!

I think there are a few things going on today, webinars and such about this, but to me they were just promotions for Majestic SEO.

I was having some issues, I used scrapebox to get some good fast proxies (700ms and below) and it fixed most of my issues, I pasted them in, and removed defualt settings.

I had been experiencing this exact same problem with v0.87.25 but just now I added my Google Adwords account into MS and that appears to have resolved the issue - at least for the time being.

I'm only using the free version right now, but prior to adding my Adwords account I was not able to generate any keywords at all over the last couple of days. Not sure if this will resolve the issue for others but I wanted to share with the hope that it does help.

So you literally just went to the accounts tab and added in your adwords details?
Nothing else?
I tried this but I still can't access keyword data.

only problem I have is that it's extremely slow... for some quick lookups I don't use it at all. I just use the Google keyword tool (it fetches data from there anyway)

I added my adwords acct information by clicking file then settings. Not sure if that means anything. But it did work for me, even though it is kind of slow right now.

Correct, I went to File > Settings > Accounts and entered in my Adwords account information.

The only other thing I had experimented with based on a Google search was to uncheck the "Use built-in proxy servers" checkbox on the Proxies tab, but this had no affect until I had entered the Adwords account details.

Apart from it being slow at times, nothing out of the ordinary. I've noticed that they've had quite a string of updates recently though, so as always, pays to keep bang up to date.

Ok...firstly a big THANKS to DerekSemmler as it works for me now, albeit slowly but I think that's because it pulled in 600 results!!!

MS always used to be 200 and then an update curtailed it to 100.

It is only the keyword retrieval that is slow. The analysis is as normal. I also noticed that I didn't have to enter a captcha but I guess this is probably due to MS logging me in to Adwords.

As an aside, have you told MS about this work around Derek? It may be something that they could advise other users to try whilst they search for a permanent solution.

Hey,

My MS software has pretty much packed up and im so frustrated as this is such an important tool to me.

I received a message from the helpdesk saying uninstall then re-install which ive done 3 times BUT its the same, I really dont know how else to do the keyword research so its abit of a kick it in the NUTS.

It was fine for months then all of suddden it started playing up....
I just cannot get it to find keywords for me, i keep getting a message saying google may be updating blah blah blah, ive got 3 laptops and its packed up on all of em!

Im waiting for answers in the meantime anyone know anything else similar in terms of use ?

Why do you think the data that is generating is not accurate? I've done a couple of comparisons between what MS is finding and what Google Keyword Tool is finding and they are quite close. I haven't done extensive comparisons though, so I would be interested to hear what you are seeing in terms of inaccurate data.

MS had quit providing results for me also until I added my Adwords login info and now it seems to be fine.
