Totally new to Paid advertising

Hey,

I recently got accepted into a CPA network and I want to promote an offer or two through Facebook but have no idea what I need to do. I have no idea how to big a good offer, what to use for tracking etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Facebook is a great place to do targeted paid advertising, but it is only effective if you have done proper demographic research.

Try doing this first:
Go to quantcast.com and compete.com
Plug in the site url of the offer.
Look at the demographics of their visitors.
Apply that demographic to your Facebook ad planning.

There are so much more to Facebook ppc, but that should let you get started right. I also consider myself still learning about PPC to CPA marketing. Lucky I have good learning resources. If not I think I would have lost a lot more money learning this by myself.

As above, make sure you do your research before doing anything!

Who are your audience? How old are they? What do they like about my product/service?

Facebook is great - you can target your audience down to a 'tee'.

I understand that you can target pretty good. What I'm not sure on is how to big a good offer. I read that I should have it so my cpc is lower then the average epc so I'm guaranteed to make a profit however many of the offers have a low epc so wouldn't I be losing money if I run them?
