I'm in the process of creating some new Amazon and Affiliate review sites/blogs. What is the best practice for on-page links - should they open from the page to Amazon/Affiliate/other offer or should they open to a new window to Amazon/Affiliate/Offer. Is there an impact from an SEO perspective either way. Looking for pros/cons for both ways. Thanks, Brian (Zanti) |

There isnt going to be much effect on your SEO but there will be an impact on your visitor It all goes down to what you are trying to do,if you want the visitor to stay and check out other offers on your site, open it in a new window If you want them to buy the product that you are selling ASAP,just open from the page. -Najmi- |

Thanks Najmi, It seems at first glance that having the viewer go directly to the offer would be the way to go. But that's what I was wondering about. If the link opens in a new window, if they are ready to buy, I would think that they would do so as they would if it went directly to the offer/site. If my site is still up after they buy they may find something else to take a look at. Really just wondering what others are doing with this. Thanks for your feedback. Z |

No problem Johny, Kind of what happened with me, hadn't given it a lot of thought before and then started thinking about it. Still wondering what others are doing. Z |
