I was just wondering how many people here choose to do their own SEO and how many people are paying a service provider. I've always done SEO myself, but I am currently trialling a SEO service provider just to see what results they can produce. Anyone that is using a service successfully, i'd like to hear about. |

Definitely diy it is too expensive, and pretty easy for you to learn how to do it yourself. Plus you never know what Google is gonna do with your serp rankings one minute your on top the next minute you could vanish. Too many intangibles go with the safe bet DIY!

Yeah I have the time. I've done OK in the past, but not for major searches. Mainly because I need to produce an income for now and not in 6 months time, so SEO is not always my focus. I've learnt a lot but someone says 1 thing about SEO, where as another person disagrees. It can become quite confusing for people getting into SEO, so I just use the basic methods that have worked for me in the past. |

Great Question. For me, it depends at what level I am invested in a site. 1) I have several aged sites (10 years +) with tons of content. For these it's 80% DIY, 20% smaller quality link building campaigns (Getting blog reviews, few high level blog comments, and 100 high pr profile links) 2) I have other up and coming sites for about 2-3 years. That's outsourced 90%. If they hit a bump in the road, no big deal. |

Yeah, the hardest part is knowing who to oursource which tasks to. I can do all the content creation & article marketing type stuff my self. SEO is harder than a lot of people think, which is why it is a good idea to get help sometimes. That being said, a lot of people offering directory submission etc generally do a poor job.

I do most off the SEO stuff by my self but some of the tasks could easily be outsourced for very little money,so it's up to me really. If i find that i do not have the time to do certain tasks, i use a very good guy that he does all the job for me for almost no money at all |
