Default Social Bookmarking backlink question

Can anyone answer this question with certainty?

Let's say you create a bunch of Digg monikers and then have each of them "Digg" the same article/post.......

Is this a good idea in terms of backlinking or could it be construed as "SPAMMY" by the search engines? Or will it not help anymore than just creating 1 moniker and Digging the article/post?

You will be doing it from the same IP address, it will be noticed immediately and all of your accounts will be frozen. Instead, go to Automated Submission to Social Media Sites | OnlyWire and sign up for 10 services, then bookmark one page a day (no more, you don't want to spam). This will give you 10 links from DIFFERENT sites, which is worth more anyway. Lnik diversity FTW. Hope it helped :-)

Thanks, Prince.....

That was kind of what I figured about the IP addresses. I was about 90% sure it would be seen as "SPAM" but I wanted to get some verification.

Onlywire is fantastic as free option for quality social bookmarking links. If you want more link juice down the line, the link juicer is the best paid one that I've used. It's $47 a month, but allows you to build 50 social back links a day without spamming. Too lazy to type it out, just google them :-)

They don't have a salespage, it will take you like 5 minutes to read how it works. Enjoy!

Free? All I see are pricing plans. Am I not looking in the right place? I don't mind paying a few bucks if I have to, though of course I would not object to free stuff!

When you see pro and enterprise, scroll down. There's a free plan available that lets you create 300 links a month (hence my suggestion for 10 accounts submitting once a day). I know, it's kind of hidden... but it's there.

Also by using only wire you can get a free wordpress plugin which will automaticaly post to all your services the second any new articles goes live. You ofcourse can still post them by your self but I agree with prince do not over do it. Inside only wire there are 42 bookmarking services. So you should beable to get some good links from many of them. I also use ping.fm in combination with onlywire. Although this one is not fully automated anymore for their api no longer works with twitter so you will have to pull your twitter post out manually and post it or create a new post.

Thanks for this thread. I am learning about backlinking, and just tried out the Onlywire.com social bookmarking site, and got it going. I've submitted a couple posts, and looks like everything is working fine.

I've got a few noob questions about this:

1. Social bookmarking is for the purpose of creating backlinks to your website/webpages. Are the backlinks of "low PR"? I imagine they would be because creating these social bookmarks are so easy.

But when I look at my "Onlywire History" page, that page shows a PR of 4. That does not mean my backlinks have a PR of 4 does it?

2. Can you offer any tips or guidelines for creating these social bookmark posts?

I.e.: Tips on creating Title, Description and Tags? Should I be making sure I include my targeted KW phrase in all three? Does it matter? I guess if anything, my targeted KW phrase should be in the TITLE, which appears to be the "anchor text" of my backlink.

3. What is the difference between Social Bookmarks and RSS feeds? I've done RSS feeds before, but I guess I don't know why I'm doing it. Do RSS Feeds create effective backlinks to my website and webpages also?

4. If I submit to one RSS Feed, is that enough? Or should I be using as many as possible? Can I over do it with RSS feeds and/or social bookmarks?

Thanks for any advice on this!
