Default Can I multiply my Backlinks to the Same Site?

I was just wondering something pretty cool.
I am guessing the answer is no but here it goes.
Once I put a link to my website on a certain site, Ezine articles of example, can I get more backlinks from said site? If I write more articles and put links in those, will they count as additional backlinks?
Obviously I wouldn't expect every post in forum with my signature in it to count as a backlink (or should I?), but Ezine is different....right?
Also, when I backlink to my site, some back links are to my blog and some to my home page (the URL isn't 100$ identical). Will these partially different links still count as backlinks to the same place, my website?
Thanks in advance for replies!

Daniel

Some people go crazy, posting their articles to dozens of indexes, often using automation tools like seNuke, article spinning is often to address the controversial issue of duplicate google content. One tutorial I saw advised changing up the achhor text in your author credits, others advise just posting to about 5 of the biggest indexes.

The short answer is, yes each article, each post, each link you build is a backlink. But it comes down to which of these links will be indexed and which ones will not.

If you are targeting two different keywords in your post than you would have two backlinks for two different keywords but your content should be related to niche of your website.

yes you can post two articles giving back link to your site but try to post two different keywords or to link different pages of your site with each article .
but i think providing two keywords work more efficiently.

I don't feel satisfied enough with these answers, I'm sorry.
So you're saying that even a forum post can count as a backlink?
But it has to have my keywords in it??? I didn't really get this....
How does google decide what to index and what not to?
What creates the backlink? The link or the text? Or a combination of BOTH?
I need to have content containing my specific keyword with my link in there for it to be an eligable backlink?
Sorry to ask so many questions which probably seem rudimentary to you guys, I'm just new to all of this and want to make sure I understnad it before I move forward.
Also, what does being slapped by google mean? And sandboxed? What causes those things?
Thanks

I would say yes, but each may not count for much especially if they're all on PR0 pages. Backlinks from the same domain supposedly give diminishing returns as you build more.

Simply put = both.

Yes you need your keyword in the text that is linked (anchor text) to rank for that keyword. Slight variations, prefixes, suffixes, and synonyms seem to count as well, but probably not as much.

I think "slapped" is more commonly used with AdWords. If you have poor quality landing pages your ads will get "slapped"... your minimum bids will raise/your ads will not show or they may get banned.

The existence of the sandbox is something that is constantly being debated by SEOs. Some say it is when your site goes disappearing from the SERPs for an extended amount of time. Some people freak out when their site "dances" in the SERPs and think they are in the sandbox. Some will say building links too fast/not at the proper velocity/other "red flag" practices will put you in this sandbox. Some will put up a "there is no spoon" matrix video when asked this question .

Put SEO into practice and decide for yourself. Personally, I have experienced some odd cases of sites dancing for months, and some are stuck in the 200+ rankings for months on end, so I will agree there is SOMETHING, if you want to call it the sandbox.

Perhaps an attic I shall seek.

Suppose this "Sandbox" exists, how would you get a site out of there?
The only analogy I have is from Pirates of the Caribbean-At World's End.

yes, it is still counted as backlinks, as long as you post different contents.
