Almost to the $600,000 Mark in Adsense

So my wife pointed something out interesting on my Adsense account this afternoon. Had not checked for a very very long time.

I'm almost the 600K point.

Newcomers - please don't believe anyone who hints that you are wasting your time.

Because I mention a huge milestone for our business more than once, it's called spamming? At the end of the day, I wouldn't be surprised if I mentioned something more that twice.....I am 47 years old now young feller. Besides... $600K is a big deal for anyone.

What do you mean by "NOT UPDATED IN 4 YEARS"? What site are you talking about?
We have many. The site in my signature was updated last week so you are confusing something friend.

That screenshot was taken last night which you can see plainly. Are you suggesting I sat there all day on PhotoShop trying to fake this report?

I am thoroughly impressed.. I was starting to figure that google bans everyone that's starts to see a little success. I hope questions aren't banned here.. But what were your goals when you first started at the adsense thing, and did you hit your goals that you set for yourself?

Just curious here as an aspiring IMer..

anyway that is amazing but there is such a huge gap, I'm having a hard time getting ranked. I can make sites like no ones business but I just can't get rankings.

Is this mostly through a few authoritative sites or many micro niche sites? How many pages and how much activity does it take you to maintain this level of income?

Please keep in mind that from 2005 - 2010 we were paying for PPC on much of this traffic, and it was in a very high paying niche. Our profit was only about 50% of that screen shot.

During those years we had about 20% of our search engine traffic coming from natural, and 80% from PPC. I really didn't know how to ramp our traffic naturally except for the HARD WAY - writing, writing, and writing good content.

We don't use PPC anymore since the arbitridge crack down when MSN Adcenter took over Yahoo's Advertising placements. Our sites were MFA of course.

We make much less money now without the PPC traffic (between $120-$200 total per day) so my Adsense reports are not nearly as impressive looking today.

My wife just pointed out the ALL TIME report and it looked so yummy I posted it.

What gets me is some of the negative reaction sometimes on a screenshot like that.
I don't get it?? The fact is that Adsense account eventually add up.

As for the haters, just ignore it. You have at least $300k over 6 years. That's pretty nice residual income.

Thanks for that. I feel better now (sensitive ego and all).

Other costs would be our time of course. Many ebooks etc. of course.

Just software costs, laptops (I go through one laptop a year, except for a Gateway that lasted 2 years).

So domain and hosting costs. That's about it.

Adsense is a very dangerous way of making money. All your earnings can be confiscated by Google for any reason at all. Big gamble.

Life is a gamble.

Google Adsense has never missed a payment since 2004. We've had warning emails in the first year because I was too dim to read their TOS all the way through. I fixed the issues and play by the rules.

Funny note: I got an email from the Adsense team (human or generated - don't know) in one of our accounts, and they asked us to consider placing three ads on each page instead of 2 ads. The site they were talking about is an autoblog.

100% of traffic is from natural organic now.

Close to 30% of it comes from auto-bloggers, and 70% comes from normal blogs that we write on ourselves, with some purchased content from good writers once and awhile.

The thing is that the autoblogging is going to over take the normal blogs this year. From looking at the numbers it only makes sense.

Can you show any test cases of how and why certain accounts got banned? In our experience it is almost always through breaking the AdSense TOS or using spam like techniques to get your sites deindexed.

Google needs publishers who provide useful and unique content. Even if the the site is not revolutionary, targeted content is still richly rewarded.

He has account for 6 years, Google paid him $600k (!!!), and now when he earns "between $120-$200 total per day", remember that was $2k per day once, he will get banned from adsense?

This account has had up to 20 blogs running on it at peak. Remember we were running
PPC for much of this time.

This is from 2005 - this morning. Keep in mind that we have two business accounts, and two personal accounts. This is just the biggest account.

We really are not huge Adsense earners. There are publishers out there that make way more, and you won't find them hanging around the Warrior Forum bragging about their earnings either. I never went on here much either because I spend many hours a day creating content, blogs, etc.

That is a tough question to be answered because;

1. Adsense pays higher per click depending the niche season
2. Traffic varies in each niche depending on the niche season (example: school supplies is huge for a very small season, and when it's kicking hard another niche is low)

However, when all the numbers are in on everything it's very consistent. Freakishly consistent.

So now that we are natural only and no PPC we're making an average of $4000-$5000 for 4 months of the year, and from $6000-$9000 on the remaining months of the year. Why? Because Adwords advertisers are spending more at different times.

So for uniques per day, we made a total of $174.74 yesterday from natural only after you add all our different accounts up. The TOTAL UNIQUES came to just over 6000.


You really have to have a Wordpress theme that is optimized for CTR, and you have to get ALLOT of traffic to make money.

That is why PATIENCE is the key over the years.

I think January is the worst month for CPC since "post holiday depression" greatly affects on it. I've asked you for earnings per unique visitor just to approximately know how much is needed for that amount.

I've never figured out how much we are making per unique visitor because there are many different niches. Some are in high-yield traffic, like Accident Lawyer blogs, and some are in low-yield traffic, like Kitchen Appliances. It varies SO much.

Just keep adding the content, and go by what you make on a montly basis.

I'm not sure where this kind of paranoia comes from. Google doesn't do things for "no reason". It wouldn't even make sense for Google to do that.

Although I commend you for your success, I think it is a bit disingenuous to the board to imply you made 600k with adsense when in fact you admit it is no more than half that

I could tell you my business
"made 2 million per year" but neglect to mention that it has expenses of 1.9 million,

if you had said CLOSING IN ON 300K + on adsense, (we grossed twice that but had huge PPC expenses ) I would have no problem with the post
