Ok, this website is a PR8, it's www.statcounter.com. Since this is a PR8 homepage and when I put on a link or two on my profile in the forum section of the website (Which is a N/A for PR) how much link love if any will I get from Google? Does any link love flow thru from the homepage or only the PR that the link is actually on count? Thank you for your help!! |

Page rank is for each "page", not a site or domain. The benefit of a link can be assessed by the page the link is on, as far as I know. I suggest you try and get links from places where people will see them and be interested in visiting your site. That way you will get links that have more direct benefit and not spend time on PR which may or may not help and may or may not work in the future. :-) |

| Well said, your link will probably pass an amount of PR very close to 0. The PR on the homepage is reduced by 10-15% by the decay factor before being passed on. Then, the remaining amount is divided by the amount of links on the page, including nofollow, and then passed through all of the non nofollow links. Repeat this process until getting to your link and it's basically going to be 0. PageRank sculpting |
