I watched some old theards through and I found one that says that if you place your link on a edu site with high PR and it is only the domain of that site which PR is so good. Then the same link from the subpage (profile page) only count as PR0 but they said that edu PR0 link = 50 standard backlinks? Is that really true?

I'm not sure about if it's worth 50 links, but I know it is definitely worth more. So I'd say go for it. |

I deal with EDU backlinks a LOT, however it is not worth 50 regular links. I would say that the ratio is more like 1 edu is equal to 10 or 20 regular backlinks.

It is not worth 50 links for sure. But comparatively .edu and .gov links have more value than the ordinary links. However it is not always true. Some .com / .org / .net websites may have more authority than some .edu / .gov links. They have an advantage but not as much as the .edu , .gov link builders boast. |
