Last week, I wondered and checked my domain's ip address for bad neighboard, and I saw and disapointed that Hostgator let other users to host "porn sites" on the same server that I have an account. I believe, for that reason my websites cant rank well. Slowly, I have lost my visitors. By the way none of my domains, sandboxed (I checked them by site:domain). What do you think ? Can I learn your opinions ? |

I don't think that would really effect it. I could be wrong, but I'm sure Google is smart enough to know that 99% of people dont have any control over what other sites are hosted on the same server as their sites.

Porn sites on the same IP is not a problem. If it were, porn sites would not appear in serps, have no PR, etc. Porn sites are not "bad." People would be amazed at what sites are on their (or others) ip. Have some fun: Reverse IP Lookup - Find Other Web Sites Hosted on a Web Server Looks like even digg is on a server with porn. Pity.
