Effects of signature on forum

Actually, I am doing forum for the site but really I am not able to understand what is the benefit of signature on the forums or if the forums does not contains signature, what is the disadvantages and advantages?

signature gives us backlinks that is the part of SEO. signature has other value too like that is drive traffic to your website.

Well if you have a signature it helps with backlinks. But if you mean you are setting up a forum , if you let people put in signature links that are dofollow you can attract more traffic. IMO

When you linked to your website in your signature, its a backlink and can help you to get more traffic from search engines. I am not sure about the exact effect of it but i think its not bad.

Well I don't see any disadvantages of forum marketing. It's really enjoyable as it's a place of open discussion, solving online related problems and share new things. It's a great source of traffic and backlinks too.

Forums give you backlinks very fast because google indexing it in weekly bases. I am also getting backlinks from major forums also.
