Looking for critiques or compliments on my new site. Please comment on the layout, look, Adsense placement and the choice of EMD keyword.

The adsense placement is all good, according to me.

The site would look even better if you could incorporate some sort of conotainment or border along the left and right of the body of the website.

That would just make the site look a little more pleasing.

Otherwise, it looks pretty good to me.
