Create an RSS aggregating site to link to my Adsense niche sites? Why or why not?

Looking for advice on the following idea:

Start an "Information Gathering" domain that aggregates posts from my Adsense niche sites. Use Wp-o-Matic or something similar to bring RSS data feeds directly to this aggregation site. The end result is that this site links back to all the articles on my Adsense niche sites and the niche sites will benefit from the back links as well as throw some traffic to those sites.

What are the drawbacks to this? They must exist, please let me know what the pitfalls are?

Specifically, is it a concern if I host this aggregating site on the same domain server as my Adsense niche sites?
