what is a yahoo page link? seobook

does anyone know what a "yahoo page link" refers too?

it's on the seobook/toolbar
it's actually indicated as "Y! page links"
I assume that's yahoo.....

if it's just in general "the number of page links"
then why not reference google?

just a bit confused

It's the number of backlinks found in Yahoo Site Explorer:

http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/mysites

Because yahoo is the only semi-reliable source when it comes to how many backlinks a site has.

You can use google webmaster tools but third party applications don't have access to that information.
