Default My Keyword research for you..

During my keyword research I found these two popular keyword rich domains available. I disclose them as I dont have the bandwidth to develop these domains. I hope it will be helpful for someone to start with.

These two domains have the ability to rank first page for the keywords they have in their domains

national-grants.org

"national grants"
global searches per month = 12,100
Estimated Avg. CPC = $29.23

cargrants.org

"car grants"
global searches per month = 4400
Estimated Avg. CPC = $3.30

I researched for grants websites after the popular flippa auction of
school-grants.org

Thank you.

1. Thats all you do for niche research? I sniff out 15 factors for a 15 niches, before im ever satisfied with one or two.
2. Whats the point of calling something a niche when 2 of them are made public to 2000 Warriors?....

Landon's Niche Checklist: (find 15 niche's with this criteria, then use the top 3)
Niche Search:

Keyword
Organic Traffic
Pain point (how much info is on the subject and how much suffering can you remedy)
Competitors (In SEO, PPC, and SMO)
Quality Competitors (are these good products/content/services)
Variant Keywords
Community (Are there good blogs and forum on the subject to get info, feedback, and market to)
Monetization (this includes Price point, product medium, and marketing tactic relevant to the Niche)
Possibility for original content creation or Affiliate advertising
Quality of product being sold. (if they are being sold)
Product vs Market type comparison (Does the product fit the market and the best means to sell it)
Cultural Influence
Trends & growth
Timeframe for target product monetization.
Creative means of marketing
Other interesting Factors

I did more than what you have mentioned in your list. But i have not mentioned in the post. It is the END RESULT of the research. It is not required to post all the things i did or all that i know.

These two names CAN and have the potential to rank #1 for their keywords.

Now YOU research them with your checklist and post here IF it fails or falls short anywhere. Im happy to learn from your research

BTW, your list is too complicated. I think it can be condensed to 5 points instead of 15. You always need not list in checklist everything you do.

Form opening google.com to downloading the CSV file

Why not invest into a cheap GoDaddy hosting account
and setup WordPress Sites with about 10 Pages of content?

Should solve your problem.. I appreciate the share but why?

What do you use for keyword research?

By the way, this is off topic but can't wait for your pre-launch. I'm going in for that!

Thanks for the share by the way with the keywords.

Thanks for the reply. 1and1.com now even offers domain names for $4.99 (the lowest I can find) but i have lot of such names already simply sleeping and I don't want to just keep registering the names and let them sleep.

Right now I want to complete some of the pending stuff before I get into new domains.

Pretty serious competition in those niches. It's not that often I see PR 9's when I run some of my keyword and analysis tools.

Adsense no more ...

I just have registered flushmountceiling.com and flushmountfixture.com while in the process i found some good names suitable for amazon+adsense blogs.

The global search numbers per month is also given.

flushmountlights.net (6,600)

semiflushmount.com (3,600) - .COM

flushmountchandeliers.com (1,300) - .COM

All the names are product generic names that have products from $15 range to above $200 range in Amazon.

You may use them for your own research before registering them. Thanks

Do you always just use the "broad" match when doing your keyword research? Do you ever use Exact match?

I have nothing to offer the world except my own confusion

Sorry, but those keywords barely get any searches. The figures you gave were for broad match. Which means when somebody typed in something like "grants for a blue warrior national forum dog beer", that was credited as one of those 12,100 global monthly searches.

The exact match (which is really what one should follow for keyword selection) is only 320/month w/ CPC of $4.63 for [national grants] and 390/month w/ CPC of $1.69 for [car grants]. Granted, your keywords have a "higher than normal" CPC, but it doesn't make up for the lack of searches that the keywords actually get.

Not trying to sound like a know-it-all or anything; I just wanted to chime in because I've been there. I already made that same mistake, and I'll never waste my time selecting a niche based off of broad match again. I documented it in this thread a while ago:

Lesson Learned! A Time-Wasting & Money-Wasting Mistake On Keyword Research (I'm kicking myself...)

Thats exactly why I asked him if he only used the broad match and not Exact

Chris and Noodle. Yes its not worthy to run behind 320 monthly searches. Though the CPC is good, the reason i was so attracted in registering more names is the promo from 1and1.com which gives domains for $4.99.

A great lesson learned only after posting here and a new era for me begins in the keyword research

Chris your post in the other thread is pretty explanatory and thanks for it
