Newbie Tip : Use Press Releases to make $245 in 60 minutes!

Hey Guys,

I know how hard it is for a newbie to sift through all the fluff that's there on the web just to find a tiny bit of decent information.

I'm gonna try and help out by giving this neat little trick, minus the fluff.

TIP - If you've got a good long tail keyword, you can use the power of press releases to leverage your SERPs.
There are sites like PRlog.org which allow you to create and publish press releases for free, and you can put up to 3 links in each release.

So here's what you need to do.

• Create a release
• Put in your affiliate links
• Submit it to google
• Ping it to a couple of free ping sites like pingoat.com and pingomatic.com.
• Get yourself one our two of the most popular high PR profile link packets available on the net.
• Keep building 1 or 2 links everyday.

This will hardly take any time (30 mins - 1 hour for the press release, 10 mins daily for backlinking) and you'll be surprised at the results you'll achieve!

I had one such press release, which took me 30 minutes to write. Then I built a couple of links here and there for 2 weeks. By the third week, my PR was ranking at #2 for my keyword. I never built a single backlink after that, but it's held on to it's position.

Till date, I've pulled in $245 in commissions through that single press release that I wrote. Never had to put in a single minute after the ranking came through.
How's that for a tip!

LSI Keywords & Press releases -

Here's another useful tip that I've come across.
As it turns out, Google has been giving a lot of importance to LSI keywords these days. To put it in simple words, LSI keywords are keywords which are similar to, but not exactly same as, your own keyword.

So here's something you can do to leverage the power of PRs with LSI keywords.
Rather than writing releases based on your main keyword, pick out other keywords similar to it and write releases based on those.

Then point those PRs to your affiliate website for some awesome link juice.

Which is why I've also given an example of a site which isn't.

yup..press releases = gold.

However, i would want to exchange the profile links for some better links, eg. i would use Article Marketing Robot or/and articleranks network to distribute additional articles for the links. Otherwise a simple, but very solid and profitable strategy. I can confirm. Very good also before clickbank launches

Great tip Pragun, the trouble for me has been finding the "news worthiness" of my site about....amazon product A or Affiliate product B. even if your site is about providing solutions to problems it is still hard to write press releases I found.

In all honesty Chiwawa, I don't claim that you can make that much money in an hour. However, put in one hours worth of effort, and the money will keep trickling in.
If you rinse and repeat what I've told you tenfold, you've got your own system, making you 2.5 grand.

Could you give us a hint about the best products to promote? It all depends on what you're trying to promote - I want to get leads and those are proving to me to be nearly impossible.

Technological products usually go well with press releases.
Mostly because all innovations that they have can be put in a PR and made to sound news-ish

I did a press release re directing to a win an ipod landing page on my site. I have pinged but not yet book marked back links.

Just keep doing those backlinks for a while. If you choose long tail, low competition keywords, you'll find your PR in the top 3 results within the month!

It's always better to sell tangible products when you're selling through press releases. But other than that, if you can promote your product in a report sort of way, you can always make a PR out of it.
