Default Interesting SEO Question (how content is displayed)

I would like to know if for the footer link, I forget exactly the name of that link which is important, the one at the end of the article or post that targets the keyword and redirects to a higher ranked page, or to a page of relevant information pertaining to the keyword. I would like to know if I place it before the About the Author section, if it is still correct and if it will rank.

I have been using this about the author tactic, and im hoping its ok, it helps me sometimes meet the word count.

here is the link if you can check it out and also the post is there in text : Exchange (1) Rook vs. Bishop

Exchange (1) Rook vs. Bishop
by CHARLES on JANUARY 19, 2011
Mixed Endings – Rook vs. Bishop

Black draws (theory). The bishop can draw even when the king is cornered, as long as the color of the corner is opposite of the bishop’s. 1.Kb6 Ba7+ 2.Ka6 Bb8 3.Ra2 [3.Rg8= stalemate] 3…Ba7 4.Kb5 Kb7 5.Rh2 Ka8= ˝–˝
(195) Mixed Endings – Exchange

White wins (theory). The black king is cornered in h8, the color of which matches the one of the bishop. Instead of a stalemate, Black receives a zugzwang! 1.Kg6 Kg8 2.Ra8‡ Kh8 3.Rxf8# 1–0
