Lightbulb What Is Your Bookmarking Strategy?

Hello,

I'm looking to find a good bookmarking strategy (in a 1,2,3 format) that will help me build up some links to my sites.

I know that it is important to use do-follow websites for this. What is your process for submitting links to bookmarking sites?

How well has it worked for you?

Social bookmarking works well. The best way to get mass backlinks is to encourage real users on your site to bookmark your page with simple easy-to-follow links and create awesome content!

You can also use softwares like SocialADR and the like to boost your efforts.

Cheers,
Dave

Personally I use Bookmarking Demon, others use Social Bot, and onlywire. Some pay for bookmarking here at WF or over at Fiverr. But, please understand, there is nothing wrong with nofollow links. First of all, it is an invention of Google, and Yahoo and Bing ignore that attribute. Even Google itself will follow a nofollow link - that is how fast the bots travel. All authority websites have a mixture of nofollow and dofollow links, that is natural. So you want to mimic natural or your site will stand out to Google - but not in a good way.

A link is a link, and the more you get, of varying kinds, the better your site will do in the SERPs. Vary your anchor text, but do not concern yourself over nofollow vs dofollow.

As far as a 1,2,3 process...
1. Create and verify an account.
2. Put something in the profile. A url is usually available. Test to see if there is anyplace to leave a keyword-anchored link in the profile.
3. Bookmark something you are interested in.
4. Bookmark a news story.
5. Bookmark your URL (your index page OR a deep page OR the URL of one of your live articles OR your squidoo lens OR your other web 2.0 URL with a link to your site
6. Book another news story or other website you are interested in.
7. Repeat step 6.
8. Ping your account profile URL.

#1 Build Backlinks that link to your pages
#2 Submit to Bookmark Sites for both Backlinks and Direct Links to your pages
#3 Ping them using Pingomatic and Ping.FM

Don't worry too much about DoFollow.
Focus on DoFollow links when building your backlinks, then Social Bookmark
all your websites pages and backlinks into numerous bookmark sites.

bookmarking is very useful but instead of wasting my time i do bookmarking automatically. for this purpose ping.fm is the best source to bookmark at upto 30 networks in single click.

The same principle applies in social bookmarking. But if you want to get a nice result, bookmark your site in high pr and do-follow websites. That is the best thing to do.

A well-planned social bookmarking page can become a great strategic tool to draw a targeted audience in a specific community. If you choose to bookmark content that is educational, entertaining, or enlightening to a common, specific market, you will create online buzz, increasing your visibility. Some will see you as the guru for great help on that relevant topic. When you engage in digital conversations, that will brand you and develop into long-term connections you would never have made otherwise.

Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to organize, store, manage and search for bookmarks of resources online. Unlike file sharing, the resources themselves aren't shared, merely bookmarks that reference them.

Well if you are new to bookmarking then you might like to know about auto social bookmarking through onlywire. For free it allows 300 submissions per month and paid version has different packages. Try it out if you can.

Diane, what´s your experience with Bookmarking Demon? How good a job does the software do?

Thanks!

social media book marking is great option for you. most of them are do follow and you can get quality links from them. i always use manual method to do those links. i don't like to use any kind of tools.
