Hi guys..some newbie questions for you. Is it possible to get multiple backlinks from 1 blog even though we commented only on 1 page in it? I kept getting backlinks or so I thought from the same blog but on different pages in which I didn't comment on. Is it because the blog uses CommentLuv? Does the backlinks counts or just the one I've posted? Thanks.

Hey, I've had this happen to me many times and it is because of some plugin they have.(may be comment luv) To answer your other question, the links may give you a little boost now, but eventually the search engines will catch up and realize its only one comment. Hope I answered you question. |

I think it is not possible to gain multiple backlinks if you didn't place it there, except if other people placed it to other sites, that's another story. Just an advice, try to comment on do-follow blogs to get a quality link juice. |

If you go to the blog you're talking about, you'll probably find that your comment shows up on a "recent comments" section of the sidebar. As your comment gets knocked off of that list, so will the "backlinks".

| Yea I saw that too...do you mean the visible list of the whole comments list? I saw like 2-3 of my comments on the 'recent comments' section...I have like maybe 8-10 comments i made on multiple pages...but I'm having like 50-60 backlinks for the past 2 months..

As others have pointed out, it could be because of Recent Comments which has your comment in it. It forms part of the global template of the site you submitted your link to. This means the Recent Comments is found on every page of the site which makes it look like several pages on that site carry your comment. Over time, Google will scale it down to just the first link it finds on that site. It is not going to cause any problems in future Best Raviv |

It also happened to me, the links stayed there for almost 3 weeks but after that only 1 link is recognized. I guess it has effect to my site, so as much as possible I try to avoid this kind of sites. |

The only way is that your comment is genuine and interesting enough for the comment readers to click on it and post a comment. Most of the commenters are always on the look out for more blogs and more back-links. So try making your blog comment relevant and catchy for the reader.
