|  Whats a decent score for page load speed in wordpress using firebug?
Hi Im just testing my 1st wordpress blog out before it goes live and am trying to see if it is loading pages fast enough as far as google are concerned (if nothing else just to get ranked as high as possible). My score is 77/100 im using w3 cache plugin as i read it helps- do you think that score is acceptable? or should i be able to get it higher? Is there any better plug ins than w3 cache as it seems a bit too techie for me cheers guys |

Ive found a decent walkthrough for w3 total cache How to Install and Setup W3 Total Cache and MaxCDN for Beginners See if that helps |

EDIT: ive just followed the walkthrough above and now my speed is 97/100 Hope this helps others |

wow -- 77 is pretty low. I usually get into the high 90s. You can strip css, minify, compress, etc, etc.

85 ish for me....i have problems minifying...must be some Wordpress plugin which throws errors in IE whenever i minify javascripts. Otherwise it would be higher.
