Default Newbie with a question about refunds.

Hey guys!

I am just about to start a business, and I was thinking that I would use paypal since it seems to be an easy an convenient way for a beginner.

However, i was wondering, since i am going to try to sell an ebook, and hopefully I'll manage to sell more than 100 books. i was wondering, how do I know who requests a refund?

I have seen that many sites have a note like this, " If you want a refund, just send me an email with the headline as , Refund please, and ill give you a full refund."

This is something that i would like to use myself.

Anyone knows how this works when you are using paypal? Since I do get a email with my paypal account, will it show up and will it be easy to just click on the a link. So how do refunds work when someone buys many samples of your book? and how do I make it efficient and easy?

Sorry for my newbiness, but couldn't find this anywhere!

Thanks in advance!

Can't they just send you the ID of the particular paypal transaction? Then you can issue the refund.

Paypal won't manage the refunds automatically. Your customers will need to contact you and you will need to process the refund from your paypal account.

Hej guys! Thanks for all the replies.

I understand that I have to process them manually.

Maybe i expressed myself in the wrong way though, whats the PROCESS of the refund?

Are there any videos, or anyone here that uses paypal to give refunds, so that he/she could explain how it is done.

This is kinda new for me, so I would really like to make it safe and good the first time.

And i don't have any friends to show me how it is done, so the warriors are my only hope!

Thanks for all the replies! And please if someone knows, be kind and reply!!

All you have to do is open you paypal acct and click "issue refund" next to their payment. That easy.

@Startiss - In Paypal if I recall correctly you have upto 60 days to issue a refund on a transaction. Even outside this timeframe you can still send the money to a recipient. In terms of people lodging disputes etc I believe they have 45 days from date of purchase. Hope this helps.
