Yukon, thanks for your thoughts on this. I did see the results from Panda on a site, so guess we have had different experiences there.

I don't hyperlink WP-Tags, but have set the hyperlink to the post, or to the particular search page that is generated when people search my site.

Good point. I never did before either. But in trying it, not with wp tags, but to having links on my ranked pages pointing out the these other pages and posts, I am getting double and triple indents some of the time, for certain keywords. That usually moves these listings up to first page from what I have seen.

Maybe someone will have some feedback on how this has gone for them if they hyperlinked search function, and how it affected search engine rankings.

Thanks.

Here is why I don't suggest running STT2 as hyperlinks (has nothing to do with Panda).

1) I limit all on-page hyperlinks as much as possible, I try & run a tight ship on all my own sites.

2) If you think about it, the option to allow STT2 to add hyperlinks as WP-Tags is a bad idea as far as SEO. This is actually the reverse as what I would recommend for on-page SEO.

If I'm trying to rank a single page in the SERPs, I want one way internal links with keyword anchor-text pointing at my ranked page, rather than a bunch of links on my ranked page pointing out to WP-Tag pages.

You can still create the same WP-Tag pages by hand without creating additional Tag links on the ranked page, let Google follow the links from the WP-Tag page some other source of internal linking.

This would be a more solid strategy IMO.

Again, I only use this plugin for posting 7-9 plain text keywords on my pages, I've never used the hyperlink options on any money sites.

Wow, that is very cool indeed.

Does it just create a list at the bottom of the page?

Yukon, Thinking about this further, I had a concern about my sites looking like they were keyword spamming, so I turned off the hyperlinks.

Hard to know, I think it could be done in small amounts, as I was getting indented pages, but have a concern about losing my rankings based on what the maker said.

I posted a comment earlier in this thread that I setup my STT2 as plain -text that looks exactly like WP-Tags, the styling is the exact same as my WP-tags CSS.

I then place 7 STT2 keywords at the end of my single WP-Tags list on every single internal page.

So in all I have 8 keywords per page max,1 WP-Tag, 7 plain-text.

I haven't found any of my thousands of pages main keywords to drop in the SERPs.

I do heavy on-page seo for each page on all my sites.

All I know is this plugin is working great for me, so I'm not changing anything on the plain-text settings in the plugin Admin.

I'm 99.99% sure your drop in Adsense earnings has nothing to do with this plugin.

I run this same plugin on multiple Adsense sites & never had any type of problem.

is there an option or "hack" where it sends an eMail if a new KW has been "discovered" so further KW research can be done in MS ? And proceed just like what Craig has been doing.

No, the plugin doesn't have an option like that, it would be cool If it did have that as an option (good idea).

If that option existed you could have all of your sites new keywords funneled into a single email inbox.

I might look into that later If I have time.

I have a hard time believing this plugin would get you banned from a host, lol.

This plugin has nothing to do with server load.

The same exact traffic will land on your pages with or without this plugin, all the plugin does is add the keyword to the WP-MySQL database which is no big deal.

If you was banned from a host because of traffic, that has nothing to do with this plugin.

If your getting more traffic than your shared host will handle, upgrade the hosting.

Maybe I'm being hoodwinked, you have a lot of sig. links & very few forum comments.

Be careful when using automated tags as you will soon get a lot of duplicate content pages and could be penalized by Panda update. Not recommended for production sites.

I bet the plugin is working just fine, you just can't see the page being updated because your own browser is running the Cache version of the web page on your site.

I'm sure any unique traffic is seeing the plugin updates.

Look at your pages with another browser, you should see the plugin updates working.

Try this, go to:

WP-Admin --> Performance (left sidebar) --> Database Cache (top of page) --> Ignored query stems (bottom of page)

Inside the textbox next to Ignored query stems add this exact text stt2_

Then save your settings.

Close the browser & clear the history/cache again.

Test the STT2 plugin again.

Looks like that plugin is caching the WP database, this should tell the W3 total cache plugin to ignore the STT2 plugin when caching.

See If that works.

You can add the tags/keywords to the meta-keyword tag in the header but it's not really going to do anything as far as seo. Google caught on to that trick years ago.

It's not worth the trouble IMO. Besides If you disable the plugin the theme will be broken, so you'll have to remove that code from the header first, then disable the STT2 plugin 2nd (in that order).

I use the STT2 plugin for plain text (7 keywords per page) & monitoring SERP keyword activity in my WP-Admin, that alone is a valuable option.

I Installed the plugin and even after checking the "Add list automatically right after post content", I still dont see it working. I even looked at the source code and still dont see anything.

Anyone has any idea why that may be?...
