Best ever day last Thursday

Well, what better place to announce this than here on WF!

Absolutely buzzin' yesterday when I checked my stats to see the line on the chart literally rising up an angle never witnessed before. £32 in one day when I usually average £7-£10 and it's no click fest I assure you, the higher than normal CPC for that day was the item that did the damage.

I've had my Adsense account since '06 I think and I still try to squeeze a few drops of optimised juice out of the ad style now and again.. members/visitors to get blind to it..

One thing (consider this a tip maybe)

is that I've only just changed over from strictly text ad leaderboard to purely image leaderboard. Overall there's more room for low and high days but there's far better return on those good days. Pre Xmas t'was awesome, but now that's over with the avg are back to where they used to be.

Anyway, more than what I was going to say..

Interesting about the image ads! I switched some links to a large rectangle, and although the ctr is worse, the earnings are higher.

I had one day in November where my earnings jumped up x10. According to analytics I had a massive traffic spike from... Yahoo! Did you get a traffic surge?

1st & 24th Nov were noticeable, 11th Dec being the other date of note.
