Default do "divs" cause search engine robots problems?

hey warriors,

when it comes to making things easier for a search engine to crawl your site
does using less "divs" help? and better for ranking?

in other words does a site fraught with lots of divs make things more challenging when a bot tries to crawl you site? I read that it did, but then again that was one article
