In my experience, writing articles and submitting to Ezinearticles.com has been a great source of backlinks and traffic. You can't beat either one.

Also leaving *meaningful* comments on other people's blogs in your niche (NOT spam) helps too.

Again, this is based on my experience....others may vary.

I really appreciate the quick response!

Writing articles and sending them to ezinearticles is what I have been focused on right now. I write a couple of articles every day and submit them. I also send articles to goarticles.com... not so much for the traffic(not a big source of traffic for me - ezinearticles is much better) but the backlinks you get from there are pretty cool too

There are many ways. You can create many backlinks in forums. Specially select High PR forums which based on phpbb, smf and vbulletin. Most of them are dofollow. So you have the advantage.
You can find more backlinks from Google by using following footprints.

site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in"
site:.gov inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in"
site:.edu inurl:blog "login or register to post comments"

I have found using Digg,twitter,facebook and most of the other top forums including warrior will give you high quality backlinks.The art of building backlinks is always quality over quantity this is often over looked by many people,when they launch a new site they go out and produce 100s of backlinks in a short time duration this is seen as not natural by google hence this is why alot of sites get sandboxed.

Slowly but surely is far better in the long run and with good quality site lonks you will start to climb in google search and also another thing that people tend to forget is once they get higher ranking you must still keep working at it other wise you will start to drop down again.

Anything on a context-relevant site/blog, especially if it has a bit of page-rank, is about the best you'll get for link-juice.

Next-best after that is probably a very high-PR page that isn't even context-relevant.

You'll need several hundred (if not thousand) non-context-relevant, PR-0, article-directory backlinks to give you the link-juice of one comment with a backlink on a decent, higher-PR, context-relevant site/blog. There's simply no comparison at all. Don't make the mistake of imagining that a backlink from a "high PR directory" is enormously valuable, because sites don't "have PR": pages have PR (of course), and the "PR of the directory" means the PR of their home page: but your articles don't go on their home-page! (Obvious, when you think about it).

Yes, Ive created an Ezine profile and the traffic I received isn't bad at all. And blog commenting is obviously a good way to generate traffic.

I use hubpages for backlinks. The only thing is that you need to maintain a score in order for link to be dofollow. Also high pr blogs in your niche. As mentioned earlier quality over quantity. You will do better

if u r looking for some serious link juice, or i say in better words google rankings for your keyword you would be needing not only one kind of backlinks, go for article marketing+ linkwheels{ closed ones} + blog comments+ frequent tweets about your product or website { yes it also works gr8 } + rss submission of your all pages :- linkwheels+articles+all inner pages of main site+ link exchange with sites which are in your niche

all these methods can bring you on page 1 in a matter of month or so if u will be careful and organized with pace of link building and amount of it.

If we have 2 backlink from different website name better than have 10 backlink but just same web name and so on..

I agree with this one. Most of us are more likely working to get good Google ranking. In doing so, we must not all forget the guidelines that Google is giving.

One of the quality guidelines of Google Webmaster stated that, we must make our website's pages primarily for users and not for search engines.

For your question, never mind the so called "most powerful backlinks". Because sometimes, they are the most prone in spamming. Just work naturally, build links from different sources and maintain your link building consistency.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I read this title in the main forum. But there is a way to make the ezinearticle articles even more powerful and have even more link juice in 5 easy steps.

1. Go to google keyword tool and search for your "keyword". Take the top 3 and save them. These are the most relevant similar keywords to your main keyword in Googles eyes.

2. Use these 3 keywords along with your main keyword phrase in an article that you create. Use your main keyword in the title of the article and in the very first sentence. Preferably the very start of the article.

3. Use the 3 keywords similar to your main keyword and spread all 4 throughout the article naturally. End your article with having the main keyword in the sentence. Use about .75%-1.5% kwd (keyword density)

4. Create another article very similar to the one you just made. Outsource it and have it spun very much. Try for 5 title spins...3 paragraph and sentence spins... and word spins. If you tell the outsourcer this and he's a expert article spinner he will know what you want. Make sure its nested. This should make the article about 70-100% unique.

5. Last step is to use have them give you about 20 copies of the spun article. Submit these articles to the top 20 article directories and point the backlinks at the main ezinearticles article.

This will create so much link juice for the ezine articles article. Also for even more link juice. Bookmark all the 20 spun versions and rss them.

There are many ways to get free backlinks with lots of juice, starting from videos to wikis, PRs and contextuals, just name them and it's always good to have variations in the types of links you are building.

Try making a dedicated Squido page for every niche you have, it is really good way to squeeze Link juice! just make sure to link to that page as well! via other social bookmarking websites, blogs, article directories ect..

I was reading this thread and I couldn't believe what people was saying how Ezine.com is a quality source of backlinks!

...Then halfway down the thread I checked the posting date and found out this thread started at the start of the year!

The point I'm getting at is, a lot has changed since then and Ezine.com is no more a quality source for getting backlinks.

Just thought I'd post this for the the beginners.
