Has anyone used SiteBuildIt.com to build your site? I've been building sites for a few years, with several different platforms, and getting pretty fair at delivering traffic, but not a lot of AdSense dollars! Recently, I tried a site building program called SBI. They walked me step through step on everything and I could see what I had been missing. One thing that strikes me is their insistence that if you haven't built at least 60 pages, don't monetize it yet. The example is building a brick and mortar store, stocking it with a few good items and having your "Grand Opening" too soon, before your store is ready. Following that logic, they recommend filling your Internet site to the brim with good products, before you open for business....even if it takes you 4 months to get your site ready to monetize. I'm not quite there yet, but have a feeling this may be a good piece of advice. Anyone have any thoughts on this? |

It's good as a training product. But I wouldn't use it once you learn what you are doing, because the look of the sites is very cookie cutter and weak. Much like XsitePro... very boring looking sites. WordPress on the other hand can make some incredibly professional site. There is a discussion Forum on Site Build it on Associate Programs if you care to read what other people really think about it. |

i have seen some top alexa sites coming up and are made up of SBI. I have to say that platform is not the only thing that's important but SBI is certainly one better way of building sites and monetize them. It also provides some good tools and works out of the box right from hosting to managing backlinks. Top Ken Evoy is a veteran and his guidance would certainly be top notch. One of the best examples of a site made with it is Amazing Benefits of Honey! (most SBI sites have longer URLs and a specific structure) it gets around 40 k visitors in a month and must be making good moolah for the owner. I am not saying that SBI is the only way, but certainly people who are using that system are getting good results and i see many success stories with it. At the moment i can't afford to spend $30 a month so im happy with hostgator shared hosting or else i would have gone with SBI cause it suits my style of making websites. |

The truth is, the look of a site has nothing to do with traffic. When most people start out learning how to create online businesses, they get hung up on "looks" rather than do what is necessary to get traffic. Traffic=income. Some SBIers don't get hung up on that so sometimes you will find "ugly" sites because they are working on getting traffic. Later on, once things are rolling, they will upgrade their look and feel and improve the looks of it. Sometimes not. Some people don't care as long as their getting traffic and income. I've seen some SBI sites that are drop-dead gorgeous AND have amazing traffic. It's all up to each person. You get what you pay for with SBI (more, actually) if you follow the steps and don't be tempted to take shortcuts and drop out the steps you need to take to create a good foundation. I didn't monetize my site for a long time. I'm glad I did it that way because the foundation I laid was so good, that site brings me substantial stable income every month, nearly passively. I worked another project where I jumped the gun and it doesn't perform nearly as well, so have experience the cart-before-the-horse syndrome as well. |

Just wanted to comment that SBI! does allow you to use your own website template and/or your own code, even from the beginning. They even provide instructions on how to do that, so you are really not restricted to a boring looking, "cookie cutter" site. On the other hand, as Stacy said, they do emphasize quality content and good keywords over site prettiness as the way to generate quality traffic. |

I don't use his crap, but I wish he would quit SPAMMING me. It's getting very annoying. I wish I knew his personal email so I could SPAM the heck out of him and see how he likes it.

Hi JonWebContent Ken Evoy doesn't spam, nor does SiteSell. You opted in for mailings at some point (perhaps you're an affiliate?) and if you don't want them, you need to opt out. The next email you get, scroll down until you see this: Quote:
