Does Having Tons Of SubPages Help Rank The Root Domain? These subpages would have 0 backlinks to them. I'm trying to see how some sites are ranking.. and it doesn't seem like there's any reason they should be where they are except a seemingly large site.. Any ideas? |

Having subpages can help the rank of a root domain, only if there is relevant content on the pages. You will need backlinks as backlinks can only help strengthen your site and the authority of it. What types of ideas did you have in mind? Did you want to just add fluff for subpages on your site to help rank it?

I just see really weak EMDs that outrank other EMDs with about 1% of the backlinks. One has like 5 and one has 600. the one with less links ranks higher, but also has more pages. The subpages look useless and have 0 backlinks. The larger site also has a ton of indexed tag pages. Does fluff actually help rank even if the fluff has ZERO links? |
