I have a new website and I decided to focus on building backlinks by writing articles. I publish on the major sites, ezine articles and about 8 others after spinning the article. I usually create around 1-2 web 2.0 properties with the spun content as well and create backlinks with that as well. While I am seeing some results for some long tail terms, I have wrote about 12 unique articles thus far...it seems to be it is taking too long to write, spin, and publish the articles to see the results I want to see. I know first page rankings aren't achieved over night, what I am wanting to know is...how can I get the most of out the content I am writing? To only get 10-12 articles per link, it seems as if it will take forever to rank for the long tail terms, much less the more competitive terms in the market. How do I get the most out of the content I am writing? Thanks in advance! |

You can try Linkwheel. Link wheel is a series of web 2.0 properties. It’s a series where each element points to the other element of the series and all the elements in turn points to the main site or promoted URL.

How long have you been doing it? It takes a while. It took me about 400 hours of that kind of work to get up to 200 visitors to one of my sites each day which now yields $1500 per month. IIts been at that level for almost a year now, So far that time was worth $45 per hour and I bill $100 per hour as a consultant. Was it worth it? Yes, because hopefully that $1500 will keep going, (it has for 4 months now and I've reduced working on my site to less than 3 hours per week). This 0 to six figures in one year is crap. If you really prod people, you'll find they worked at it 10 hours a day every day for the entire year. Big whoop, I could make 6 figures working 60-70 hour work weeks too. |

Luke here is my advice which may not be the best strategy without knowing more about your current model/sites. Anyway here it is.... Forget backlinks and forget your rankings when it comes to longtail keywords. Pump out as many high quality articles as you can and submit them to EZA and maybe a few others if you feel the need, but EZA will do. From my experience ranking longtail keywords is not as easy as most think and your time spent backlinking can be put to more profitable use (ie submitting more articles) Also you will automatically get backlinks without doing any work overtime as other sites will link to your articles and publish them on their blogs. Just my 2 cents from my own experience. |

You can write an article and submit to EZA. Then spin it and make more articles to submit at other directories. That's my technique.
