Should your wordpress install display the date a post was made?? Will SEO results be better without them? I have a .org site... EMD with 1000 exact searches per month.. only gets like 40-60 google hits per month at #4.. is this low?? |

You don't need the date. It does let your users know how outdated a topic or post might be. I wouldn't use dates in your permalinks because it makes the URL's too long.

i agree with DPWeb. remove your dates. It also ensures better SEO. You know how to change it right? Go to permalinks and enter this custom string. /%postname%/ |

Personally I have not found that dates on blog posts on all my wordpress sites etc have affected my ratings in Google and my often ranking of page 1 #1 and #2, Google likes history and depth to any site obviously if it improves your position it is worth a go.
