Social Bookmarking

Whenever I write a new post, article, ad or create a video, I always bookmark them to at least 20 quality boomarking sites.

I spin the titles and the description, but only 1 maybe 2 sometimes 0 will show as backlinks in Yahoo or Google Webmaster.

So my question is:-
Is it worth submitting content to multiple Social Bookmarking sites?

Social Bookmarking is good as one of the ways to get links indexed. They do not tend to appear in Yahoo Search Explore, but remember it only matters if the link is indexed and not if it appears in Yahoo Search Explore.

I personally do find it beneficial to post articles on the high ranking social bookmarking sites such as Digg and because most of my articles are Technology, Technorati. I have found that it depends how active the account is and how interactive my articles are. It is recommended to comment and Digg other peoples articles to "make friends".

Yes social bookmarks are really worth and they might help you drive some valuable traffic to your website.

With Social Bookmarking, there is a twin benefit of backlinks as well as traffic to the money site

it does work well but you should look at software to automate it as its very tiresome manually

Yes, it's very important and worth it. Google is driven by Social.

Look at Google Maps, look at their search volume, look at their business model... "Give users relevant content"

Each Local Places has a reviews (up to 5 stars) next to it now.
Meaning, YES, Social.

Social = FeedBack
FeedBack + Bookmark + Social = Popular Site = High Demand of Relevance

Bookmarking is one of the major ways in getting backlinks, specially good quality backlinks, you just have to continue posting.

One other thing to ask yourself - how long does the SBing take you? If it's literally only a few minutes, then is it worth it to you to not do it? What's the opportunity cost of the few mins of your time?

I think you should wait for sometimes (atleast 1 week) for checking the backlinks for such submissions.

Definitely worth it. It will not only get you backlinks, also get you at least 100+ unique visitors per day if your article is good and original.
