This is a question that I have always wondered about, because I have feeling that a NON-LIVE URL printed on the page of a really high ranked site may actually help your domain. I've done this with page rank 7-8-9 sites like big city newspaper opinion blog posts in the comments section. I drop the link to one of our web sites in the comment box at the end of the comment, and in brackets as their editor to remove the link if required. They always leave the link. Some make the link non-active so just the raw URL is printed on their page, and some leave the link live with a nofollow attribute, and sometimes if I'm really lucky they leave the link live AND IT'S A DOFOLLOW. ![]() So my question would be as the title of this thread.....does a naked and inactive URL help your domain with Google, Bing, and Yahoo!? Like to hear Scott G's theory here because him and I have disagreed regarding the value of nofollow links. TZ |

Newspaper blogs are golden. Many are unmoderated, and, you get what should be relevance if choosing the right ones. Many times on the ones that are stripped of html, I will just type domain.com and hope for some type in traffic. You may wish to check this out: Paul |
