what is THE most effective way(preferably free way) to use social bookmarking to promote a service being offered on a website like fiverr???

Yes - would like to know this as well. It seems that more people are talking on social media but no one is listening - how do you get people to listen?

This is going to sound cynical, but I don't mean it that way: The best way is to get your customers/visitors to bookmark you. Maybe offer a reward if they do so--coupon, freebie or whatever.

If you try to beat the system by bookmarking yourself or paying others to do so, it rarely works.

I usually use social bookmarking to fast indexing my page and its an effective way of promoting your site.

I use the OnlyWire serives for free bookmarking. They have a WP plugin as well that wil lbookmark each post you make as well!

Thanks guys! I had known about OnlyWire. It's weird. It came up several times today. I think I'm going to take a serious look at it. I already signed up... just have to sign up for each individual social bookmarking site now. Thanks again! I really appreciate it!

Social bookmarking can definitely be an effective way to build site traffic because it reaches networks of people with related interests. It also groups content based on tags or keywords and reaches targeted traffic since all the sites related to a keyword have been screened by a person. As long as you are a good net citizen and fully participate in social bookmarking communities, you can reap great rewards for your site traffic.

Hmmm. Link Wheel and then bookmark the sites 10 bookmarks for your main site, 9 for the next layer, 8 for the next layer and so on. That will help.

But again you ned to create many accounts.After that everything is very easy.
