Default Feedback on my new .info domain appreciated

I'm pretty green at this, and appreciate the info offered by folks on this forum. Thanks so much.

I've read the discussions threads about the relative benefits of having a .com/.net/.org versus a .info. Nonetheless, I took the plunge and bought and .info for a rather peculiar two word search term. The other three extensions were taken but all are place holders and no site is live.

The domain is a misspelling but I figured for the cut rate price of $1.97 to register the domain name I couldn't lose. Couple that with about an hour of domain set up time and I guess I'll see what happens.

I'd appreciate any comments about the .info issue or anything else.

Good idea on the misspelling.

However, you need to use misspelling throughout the page, using WaterPic as well as the correct spelling.

Also, where did you get that theme?

That is really sharp!

Good luck

Nice site! Looks clean and professional.
Like the theme but looks like the price is to steep for my blood at this time. but I see the designer makes some great websites.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings.

First of all, your site, waterpic.info has the real name, waterpik as it's
title and text in header. Even if you had just waterpic there, you are probably violating
something.

Quality guidelines

These quality guidelines cover the most common forms of deceptive or manipulative behavior, but Google may respond negatively to other misleading practices not listed here (e.g. tricking users by registering misspellings of well-known websites). It's not safe to assume that just because a specific deceptive technique isn't included on this page, Google approves of it. Webmasters who spend their energies upholding the spirit of the basic principles will provide a much better user experience and subsequently enjoy better ranking than those who spend their time looking for loopholes they can exploit.

Remember, you can't break any google webmaster guidelines in doing adsense sites.

Thanks for the info Paul. I really am not trying to trick anyone. Users who are looking for WaterPik mistakenly think the spelling is other than it is, and of course the Adsense ads on my site will direct them to the proper place for the information they are seeking. I do understand there *can* be issues using branded names, to be sure.
