Will moving site effect rank?

I am preparing to move my primary site from one hosting company to another.

From your experience, if I copy the site and redirect the domain name, will it effect my rank?

Hi chardee42,

As long as the page content, titles and URL structure do not change and the new website is in place before you update the name servers you will see no change in ranking.

From my experience it will not affect the rank!

BTW, you don't have to (and don't) redirect the domain name. Just point the Name Servers!

I moved my 8 year old site (at the time) 4 years ago and it did not affect it's rankings at all and was a much easier process than I thought it would be.

No ranking changes for me either. I changed 4 different hosts over 12 years.

Same Here, Have benn told that different countries make a difference (another comment from matt cutts) but if it does, its tiny
