... so type in traffic ultimatum and there it is: .info on first & second spot out of 6.530.000 results. Jamie knows his stuff. He holds no.1 spot for google sniper as well. Unfortunately he doesn t sell WSOs .. |

Who ever said .info doesn't rank well? Extensions don't matter to search engines, that is a fact! Search engines don't discriminate over extensions, people do! |

I agree. I've been seeing .infos on page 1 a lot. I think the extension makes most sense to people if they are looking for reviews or .... info!

And the 6,530,000 results is just a nonsense meaningless number as well. Type in something that really gets searched for. Like pagerank checker Paul

I have a .info at #1. It was a lot more work than getting a .com .org or .net to #1 (didn't realize I have #1s from all 3 TLDs until writing this ) and then it also requires a lot more work to maintain that #1 than others. If I don't constantly backlink it or add content, it loses ranking whereas others are not that sensitive.Of course, for what I said to be 100% correct my comparisons should have the same competition, same number of posts/pages, same quality of on page SEO, same quality of links from other sites etc. etc..... I know I know... but that's just my general feeling from my brief experience in internet marketing. This .info was the 2nd site that I ever built and was trying to save on $8 or so back then. But now I won't consider a .info even for a blog farm that I would build purely to get backlinks! And as somebody else pointed out you shouldn't be jumping in to conclusions with search phrases like 'traffic ultimatum'. Chucky

I have always found that it's possible just more difficult to rank a .info. The only way I would use a .info is if it's an exact match domain and the people that own the TLD's are not ranking them. If the .com, .net and .org are all competing for that keyword it's going to be very tough to beat them out. If they are owned but just parked or not aggressively trying to rank for that term than I tend to feel a lot better about using the .info. That's just my take....

I am debating if I should throw my web site on a .info exact keyword match domain I bought as it is new and my present domain is over 6 years old. Bernard |

| I would totally stick with your aged domain. I think an aged domain has a big advantage over a newer EMD personally. As long as your building backlinks with the keyword your targeting in the anchor text you should be golden.
