Hey Guys,
I'm not new to SEO but I fail to see the value in these "valuation sites". Once the domain is registered, the resulting page either has no link on it or the link is no-follow. In this list of 15 I only found one "do-follow" link.

I have seen several other products that will generate these links as well but i don't see the value. Many of these sites will show the "valuation" if you add your domain to the parameters on the end of the domain. Which says to me the pages are generated dynamically and do not physically exist, hence you would have to ping them or backlink to them so the search engines would access them and cause the page to be dynamically created. IF the page contained a "do-follow" link then it would be counted as a backlink.

Unfortunately, a majority of the sites either do not create a link, they may have the domain name shown on the page but its not a hyperlink. If it is in a hyperlink, then it is usually a no-follow link.

So back to my initial question. Am i missing something here or are most of these sites of no value?

Twitter, seriously twitter can get your site indexed very fast. just use your own personal one if you have one.

Signature posts in places like WF will get your website indexed over night if you do some posts.

This sites don't link directly to your website there is no live link to your sites,but maybe serach engines extract your domain info and index your site that way.

Yea you're probably getting link juice from them especially if they have a decent pagerank. But yeah this is a good strategy because the google bots crawl these sites frequently and index sites that are linked to them.

However, I will say that I just create a new blog with wordpress....turn off the auto ping ...and then post on other social sites like squidoo and hubpages and livejournal...and my brand new blog is indexed in hours.
