How to check if PR is Genuine & not fake?

I'm looking to purchase a domain name that has PR4 and listed in DMOZ, age 11 but when I check for its backlinks it only has around 100 backlinks, can this be a fake PR and just 301 redirect? Please advise. Thank you!

There are so many tools out to check if the PR is fake or not.
You can have different tests on the domain using freely available tools for analysis and the best is just to Google. Checkout some domain tools where the IP resolves and which IP is pointed in DNS record etc.

I know there is many PR checker tools but you know when a person does 301 redirect then when he removes it it will have PR0 again, so I need to know a secure way to find out whether pr is valid fake or not.

Don't mess with any site besides a Google search.

If the info: & the url match, your good to go.
