I've built a new site and I'm trying to do the link building the old fashioned way - ie, no software, no mass link acquisition, etc. I just spend 30 mins or so on it a night. Its main competitor is one of my other sites, so I kind of know what it takes to get it to the 1st page. I'm submitting a unique article a night to various article directories. My question is, is it worth republishing these same articles in other directories (which accept unoriginal content)?. Does the backlink from a page with near-identical content to another page, still have much weight? (I'm very reluctant to use the term 'duplicate content', as I understand that to be content within the same site). Opinions? (NB: I hate spun articles. If it doesn't make sense to a human, I don't want it linking to my site). |
