Default How to write SEO optimized articles.

I need some help I need some clarifications on writing articles to improve your SEO.
Lets pretend I was going to write an ezine article or other article directory.
The * is just words or think of it as sentences

Now to write articles for SEO and backlinking. I know you are supposed to have your keyword with your follow up link. But i notice that at some of the bottom of some articles, it says {for more information, visit x yz .com}.
is that part of seo? and does that part (that says, please visit sxyz .com )need to be included in all your articles that you submit?

and also i heard that adding pictures is great also, if i want to add pictures, do i just include a link to my site from the picture, or inlcude my keyword on the picture followed by the follow up link?

write article of 500 words and make it keyword rich. take care for the keyword density. The proper keyword density percentage in any article or website should be around 3.0 to 3.5 percent of the article or website. Determining on how long the article or website is.

Go on Google and use Wonderwheel, it shows RELATED keywords. Use those keywords in your article too.

Use main KW in title of the article.

What you refer to is called "resource box" - most article directories need it since they do not allows links *IN* the article but in the resource box only.

Although there are some article directories where you can place a link within the article itself, as opposed to resource box only.

Most of the article submission sites would not publish or approve if your article word length is less than 500 words. If your articles need to approve in ezinearticles you need to focus on the keyword density while you writing the articles. No need to make use of the links inside your article. Just you need to place 2 site links at the author section.

There are two parts to SEO - on-page SEO and off-page SEO

On page : Have a read of this post: How I Got to #1 in Google and download the (free) checklist to make sure your page is set up correctly.

On page is where you need to get the keyword density correct etc.

Then, write your article for EzineArticles.com (or another directory). If you're submitting to EzineArticles then this article body won't be able to have any SEO links in it.

However when you get to the bio box of your article - this is where you add your keyword links.

It's up to you whether you use the keyword twice (some SEOers will, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't)

So for me, my first link in the bio box is the phrase I am trying to rank for eg: pink lions, and the second link is either a variation on the keyword I am ranking for eg: fluffy pink lions or just a link back to the homepage of the site.

I always try to make the first link look as if it it part of the article - wee tip to get more clicks

Interestingly some people say that your article doesn't even need to be on your keyword subject eg: pink lions. It could be on orange cupcakes and the keyword link in your bio box would still count as a backlink.

I'm not entirely convinced with this (does anyone here do this?) mostly because it's probably not the best reader experience.

Then again, depends on how it's done!

Cheers
Libby

To begin with, you must know what keywords you will be targeting in your article. A keyword or keyword phrase is what search engines use to categorize your content and make sure it is indexed properly and shows up in the search results when someone does a search for your keyword on the Internet.
Once you determine what your keywords will be, then incorporate them into the title of your article and a few more times throughout your article. The first words you use in your article, namely the title, will dictate what the search engines will focus on. Once the search engine reads your title, it goes on through the rest of the article looking for evidence that the title is related to the actual content.
Make sure that you don't get penalized for keyword spamming, though. If you place your keyword in every other sentence, it makes the article less readable by humans and will most likely not be accepted by any of the most popular article submission sites.
Most article submission sites will deny your article if your keyword density is more than about 6%. A rule of thumb to follow is to aim for about 3% keyword density in your articles. This means that if you write a 500-word article, your keywords should be used about 15 times to reach the 3% mark (15/500=. 03).
And finally, incorporating your keywords in the anchor text in your authors bio at the end of the article will make sure that your website is targeted with your keyword. In other words, don't just place your website address in the author's bio, but make it a link with your keywords as the anchor text.
Of course writing SEO optimized articles is not the most important thing to focus on. The quality of the content is most critical. Your article must make sense to human readers and be interesting and relevant to your keywords. In addition, make sure that your article does not contain errors such as grammar and spelling mistakes as this is a definite indication of a poorly written and half-hearted article.

1. Try to place one keyword in the title and don't overload with lots of keywords.
2. Try to have keyword density below 3.5%
3. Always have more than 500 words.
4. If you are submitting in instant approval article directories try to give the title tag for the keyword you are linking it back to your site

ex:<a href="http://www.yoursite.com/" title="your main keyword">your main keyword</a>

It depends on you whether you want to give that link or not.An article with keywords repeated not more than 5 times would do the trick.

The bottom part of the article usually include the information about the author and his/her website, having this one will help your viewer to determine where he/she will land if she/he click your keyword with follow up link.
