I am a newbie, I am doing some research on different niches. My question is how recent is the data used in the keyword tools. Is it an average over just the last month, 6 months, year, or what? I found a niche that has good exact search volume, stupid low competition, but it is trending down according to adwords. It makes sense, but if the numbers are still good it might be worth it. Does anyone have any idea? or any thoughts? |

If you specified a country or language for your search, this is the approximate 12-month average number of user queries for the keyword for those countries and languages. Click on the "About this data" You may want to take into account the local search trends, if it varies to much it will make a significant difference in the current search numbers. |

Thanks. I don't know whether I should go for it or not. It has 2k exact local monthly, but is trending down. It only has data since its release in Sept 2010, but it is unlikely that it will be cyclical. I guess I probably missed this opportunity. I can better plan for similar releases though. |
