Has anyone noticed that the Estimated Average CPC column is gone from the Google Keyword Tool. It is no longer one of your choices in the "Columns" box, and although it is still listed and described under "About this data" you can't punch it up. For IMers who rely on a sense of avg. CPC for keyword value when entering a niche or purchasing a domain, if it's gone permanently, it's gonna make things pretty tough. Any ideas? Seth |

Don't sweat it. This happened a couple of weeks ago too for a few hours. Chances are it will be back again tomorrow.

Yeah it's back this morning Feb 9. Along with some other new columns like Ad Share and Search Share. Another IMer says he uses SpyFu for his CPC and other estimates. I went there and noticed some wide discrepancies between Google Tool CPC results and SpyFu's...like Google saying keyword X is getting an average of 3.85 per click, and SpyFu saying advertisers are only paying 1.25 per click. Doesn't SpyFu get it's info based on Google? Or are they getting their own calculations? Why the discrepancy? |

Look at the bottom right of the spyfu page. Quote:
It's still good for research, & looking at consistent Ad copy. If an Advertiser has been running the same Ad for months chances are they are making money, or they wouldn't hang on to it. | ||

It was put back this morning - probably an error of omission!

To access CPC, you need to login into your Adwords account and access the tool from there. If you do not have an Adwords account, create one it's free |
