What is happening to my links?

I have built countless links, and bought several link packages that had stellar reviews. In yahoo site explorer, the links either never show up, or they show up a while then drop off. Am I not doing something I should be to keep these links? I just don't understand what is going on.

Hi tmitchison,

From your post it seems to me that your promotional efforts have centered on a high volume of low or poor quality link building. That type of promotion is labeled by Google as "webspam" and they have a team dedicated to finding and devaluing webspam. Could this be what is happening to your links?
