Tip Yet another Adsense ads placement 'trick'?

How do I put this? Ad placement for Adsense is not something you can just say: This way is TRUE and that way is NOT. Back in 2004 (and still), many 'gurus' (and even Google itself) preached/ recommended that in order to make those ads convert, all you have to do is blend the ads to be part of the content.

That is so true - really the way it should be. But I'm looking at this in a different point of view.

1. Many of us are aware about affiliate banner isn't it?
2. Affiliate banner is 'pure ad'
3. Yet we click on it even we're not interested in the offer
4. So what's the catch?
5. Can we treat those Adsense ads the same way like affiliate banners do?
6. How to make Adsense ads like it IS affiliate banner?

Can anyone suggest anything about this?

its against the google tos to put anything to entice clicks, like " visit our sponsors " " this post is made possible bu clicking ads" etc etc.

which isn't the case with affiliate banners.

And google just loves to ban anyone for the littlest infractions.
