Default Keyword Variations to be "natural"

Hey, I just wanted to ask about this topic I've been seeing around - I'll just take my website in my sig as an example. The main keyword is "best gps system for cars" and so, how would I change this up to keep this "natural" google is looking for when I use anchor text for backlinks?

I didn't think it would give much of an impact until I recently started doing this, but keyword variations help me a LOT.

I would vary "best gps system for cars" with the following for example:

-best gps system for cars
-best gps system
-best gps device
-best gps
-good gps system for cars
-great in-car gps system

etc. etc.

But also, Caps has a very good result for me. It may look strange but if I am spinning things, ONE keyword variation of mine would often be:

{b|B}est {gps|GPS} {s|S}ystem {f|F}or {c|C}ar{s|}

Also notice, I gave an option to drop the plural from "cars".

The results..

A much more natural series of backlinks.

What we DON'T want, is all our "best gps system for cars" anchors looking like this:

best gps system for cars
best gps system for cars
best gps system for cars
best gps system for cars
best gps system for cars

We want them looking like this:

Best gps System for cars
best GPS system For Car
Best gps System for cars
Best gps System for car
best GPS system For cars

+ mixed with other similar keywords = more natural

More natural = more trust

more trust = more rankings.

=D

Thanks for the response - I came across some ppl bringing this up and thought it'd be a good topic for those of us building links everywhere we go. Any other thoughts?

Yes, the more variations you will use, it will be more easy for you to come up and gain traffic

Very interesting about CAPS! Anyone else have success with that approach? I will have to try that...

Best GPS systems for Cars
GPS Systems
Best GPS systems
List of Best GPS systems for cars
Best GPS systems for Cars Websites
www.yoursite.com
etc
etc

I would concentrate 80 percent on the main kw in some variation and mix in 20 percent click here, www.yourdomain.com, and other minor variations that dont have the kw in it necessarily, or the kw is changed around

IMO thats very natural

If you drop the word "best," you have it.

Best is the word you want to avoid using
over and over. Google has said, somewhere,
I forgot where, that having 1,000's of links
with spammy phrases is not good. How bad?
Only they know. Their example was using
"make money online." But you had to read
between the lines, as always. GPS systems
by itself is not spammy. It really depends on
the niche. Making money online is just full
of spams, cons, scams, and schemes. Putting
superlative words with your topic is turning your
phrases into spam. Think of something else.
Like "top rated," which has a more gentler, less
spamming tone. Even "easy to use."

For me, I would leave the rest of the phrase as
gotten by having an authority site, and just
do all links using something short, like
GPS navigation systems, and leave it at that.
The superlatives come into play when you create
the content.

Agreed GPS Systems as the link or link base would work just as well IMO

saying BEST GPS SYSTEMS over and over and over , seems spammy

why?
thats not a three word combination google sees that often
GPS Systems? thats common to see and if google sees

GPS systems
2011 GPS systems ratings
etc etc
it looks natural

perhaps Google also views Backlink anchor text in
a framework somewhat the same as it views LSI (latent semantic indexing)

related words that normally appear on those pages
Perhaps google is much happier to see LSI type words in the anchor text also
